The Dingo Did It

“A Dingo took my baby!” are the words that haunt the campsites in central Australia and which now form part of contemporary Australian legend and outback tales.

This legend has it that a Dingo stole and killed Azaria Chamberlain, a 9-week old baby at Uluru (11 June – 17 August 1980). Without doubt, it was proven that the Dingo really did take the baby, but a small percentage of the public remain unconvinced.
