Pink Diamonds – Bloody Lucky No. 4

pink and white diamond pop art painting by Australian artist Merry Sparks

The Pink Diamond is a fancy-coloured pink diamond and the more intense its colour, the more valuable it is, aside from the other “3 C’s” of course (cut, clarity and carat).  It attracts on average, 20 times the price of an equivalent white diamond.

Located in the East Kimberley region in the top end of Western Australia, the Argyle Diamond Mine is the only known significant source of pink diamonds, producing over 90% of the world’s supply and it additionally provides a large proportion of other naturally coloured diamonds, including champagne, cognac and rare blue diamonds.

I’ll take any one of them thanks.
