All paintings are copyright to Merry Sparks and are protected by international copyright laws.  Following a purchase, no painting or part thereof may be reproduced by any process without written permission from Merry Sparks.  Merry Sparks retains the right to reproduce print editions from original works.

FINE ART – ARCHIVAL QUALITY GICLÉE PRINTS

Archival quality giclée print reproductions on unstretched canvas and/or floating glossy acrylic panels are available for some paintings.  Reproductions on canvas are coated with 2 coats of Aquathane in satin finish – a spray laminate with a UV inhibitor and anti-fungal qualities.

Longevity of artworks can be affected by the controls used when printing the image, how well the print is framed, or in the case of canvas, the coating used. Other factors are temperature, humidity, pollution (smokers in the house for example) and most importantly the type and quantity of UV light that strikes your print each day.

All Giclee Reproductions listed on this site are supplied as print only, unmounted and not framed.

Depending on the colours in the artwork, all canvas prints come with gallery wrap in black or white 50mm additional border to allow for stretching at your local framer.  Gallery wrap is where the artwork is wrapped around the edge of a timber stretcher frame.

FINE ART – AUTHENTICATION

All original artworks and giclée reproductions are signed by Merry Sparks.   You may request a Certificate of Authenticity and this is your proof that the artwork is sanctioned by Merry Sparks and certifies the artwork’s authorship, title and details.

Care has been taken to ensure that photographic images on this web site are accurate, however, images may vary slightly from reality.

FINE ART – DAMAGES

In the unlikely event that your work is damaged, please contact us within 24 hours and send a photograph of the damage along with a clear description of the damage and how this occurred.  Once we have proof of the damage and clarified any further issues with you, we will attempt to replace the purchase as soon as possible. Unframed art work is fragile and to avoid any damage caused through personal handling we request that you take it to a framer to unwrap.

As soon as your order ships, you’ll get an email confirmation from Merry Sparks.  Make sure you check your filters on your email so an email  from:  merry@merrysparks.com doesn’t end up as spam.

FINE ART – DELIVERY

We have a network of relationships with national and overseas carriers to ensure your artwork arrives safely to Australian and International destinations.

You will be required to sign a delivery receipt at the time of a delivery for a floating acrylic panel, a copy of which will be returned to Merry Sparks or her reproduction company. This will complete the delivery process.

All orders for delivery within Australia will be delivered by either Australia Post, Fastway Couriers or a respected art freight service. International orders will be sent via Australia Post or DHL.  For orders of more than 3 items or for framed prints, a surcharge may apply.  You will be notified of this charge before your order is completed.

Unframed Art orders:
Unframed Art orders are wrapped and inserted into firm cardboard mailing tubes.

Stretched and unframed or framed Art orders including stretched canvasses and floating acrylic panels:
Artwork is custom packaged or boxed securely packaged in bubble wrap, cardboard casing and where required, a wooden frame.

Insurance is recommended for delivery of your artwork.

Change of Address:
Merry Sparks cannot be held responsible for an incorrect address being entered on your order. If you complete your order and then notice that the address details are incorrect, please contact Merry Sparks immediately.

FINE ART – DELIVERY TIME

Delivery time can vary according to the type of artwork and destination.  It is usually 3 weeks from the time of payment, particularly for overseas orders.  Allow more time for commissioned works.

FINE ART – RETURNS

A refund will not apply to purchases which have been opened without a framer’s assistance or damaged after delivery. Any returns must be sent in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. We recommend that you return the product via Registered post and that you pre- pay all postage. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit and therefore we advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier.

Merry Sparks will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

FINE ART – QUALITY

All original artwork is painted on either archival quality Belgian linen, or archival quality poly/cotton canvas which is a mix of 51% polyester and 49% cotton.  It is advisable that paintings be hung in non-humid conditions to minimize the growth of moulds.

All paints used are the highest quality professional artists’ paints.  Merry Sparks uses Interactive Atelier Acrylic Paints by Chroma, and oil paints by Art Spectrum.

MERCHANDISE – DELIVERY

We have a network of relationships with national and overseas carriers to ensure your merchandise arrives safely to Australian and International destinations.

Australia Post is our preferred method of delivery for smaller packages.

MERCHANDISE – RETURNS

All items must be returned back to us within 7 days of the customer receiving the order. Items must be unworn, unwashed with the tags attached. Items that do not meet these criteria are non-returnable and will be denied. We recommend using registered mail as we cannot be held liable for any lost items in the post.

We only offer store credits for returned items. If you are wanting to exchange your items, you will be given a store credit which you will be able to use towards your next order.

Please be aware that your new order will be processed through as per normal, and we cannot fast track any new orders processed. Sorry.

This is only so that we can process all returns as fast and efficiently as possible for you.

Please Note: All postage costs for returns must be covered by the customer. If you have received a faulty/defective item, please contact us.

MERCHANDISE – QUALITY

All merchandise selected for printing on is selected for its superior quality, durability and contemporary design.  We have quality control processes in place to minimise and eliminate faulty goods.  However, we are only human and some defects may go unnoticed so if you receive faulty goods, please refer to Merchandise – Returns.

MERCHANDISE – WORK ETHICS AND WHERE IT IS MADE

All artwork is by Merry Sparks and all merchandise is hand-printed in Brisbane, Australia.  It would be fantastic to say that all of Merry Sparks’s merchandise is 100%  “Made In Australia” however, costs associated with manufacturing in Australia make this prohibitive.

Having said this, Merry Sparks – the designer – is an Aussie, and so is the printer.  The products are substantially transformed in Australia and at least 50% of the cost of production has been incurred in Australia.

Apparel is manufactured in Bangladesh in W.R.A.P certified production facilities, ensuring a sweat-shop free product and ethical work conditions. Refer to more information at www.wrapcompliance.org

Aprons are manufactured in China and all Tea-Towels are manufactured in Russia.

Greeting cards are printed and manufactured in Australia.

PRICING

All prices listed on this site are in Australian dollars and include 10% GST and delivery except for merchandise and fine art poster prints.  Delivery is extra for merchandise and poster prints quantities 1 – 8.  Merry Sparks reserves the right to change prices without notice.

PRIVACY POLICY

Any information that we may collect from you during your purchase i.e. your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, to allow us to complete your order, is protected.  We do not rent, trade, or sell personal information and it never leaves our databases without your permission.

Any information that you provide to Merry Sparks through this web site will only be used to provide you with the services that you have requested.  We may also use your personal information to provide you with information about future exhibitions and events in which we are participating.  If you would prefer not to receive this information, please let us know and we will process your request.
